Process

Our development process

Process strategy
1 Step 1

Strategy

Listening and understanding in depth all of our clients' needs is the first step and one of the most important. This allows for the most detailed and appropriate strategy for a perfect end product.

2 Step 2

Design

The design of the website is the second step of our activity, with which the technical part begins. First we start with the homepage. When it is ready, it is demonstrated to our clients for approval or for modification if it does not match their expectations. Then it continues with the other pages on the site.

Process Design
Process Development
3 Step 3

Development

When all the individual pages and modules are ready and approved in terms of vision and features, they are handed over for the third step - programming. We rely on the best technologies and practices in programming that contribute to the high quality of the final project.

4 Step 4

Testing

Once all the design is done, it is the turn of fourth step, in which the different components of the project are displayed, already programmed and working dynamically. It is of utmost importance that everything worked out is approved by the clients in order to proceed to the final stage.

Process Testing
Project handover
5 Step 5

Project handover

Once everything has been tested and approved by our clients, we move on to project release, which is actually the last, fifth step of the whole process. If in the future there are issues that were not spotted during testing, the IWS team will respond to fix them.

New because I have been working with them for over 10 years now (this is the third website they have created for me) and thanks to them, my work is presented to my clients in the most modern and correct way possible. From the very beginning of our work together to the completion of the project, they have shown incredible skill, creativity and attention to every detail. I am particularly impressed with the way they were able to understand my needs and desires, and transform them into a modern, functional and attractive website. Every aspect of the site's design, structure and functionality perfectly reflects the vision and ideas I wanted to present to my audience. Thanks to them, my online presence is now on a whole new level. I would also like to highlight the excellent communication throughout the whole process. I always received timely feedback and valuable advice, which helped the project come together quickly and smoothly. It is a pleasure to work with such a responsive and professional team! Online stores after the introduction of the euro in 2026: What should you do now?

As of 1 January 2026 , Bulgaria has officially adopted the euro as its national currency. This change directly affects all merchants, including online store owners who previously operated exclusively in Bulgarian lev (BGN). What Are Online Stores Required to Do at This Stage? 1. Mandatory Dual Price Display From 8 August 2025 to 8 August 2026 , all prices must be displayed simultaneously in both Bulgarian lev and euro, using the officially fixed exchange rate: 1 EUR = 1.95583 BGN . During this period, both prices must be shown in close proximity, using the same font size, type, and color. The currency must also be clearly indicated for each price. Example: 49.00 BGN – 25.05 EUR Prices must be calculated accurately, without rounding the exchange rate itself. Rounding is permitted only for the final price, up to the second decimal place. 2. Consistency in Currency Presentation According to Article 16, paragraph 1 of the Act on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria , when applying dual price display: Prices in euro and in lev must be: shown in close proximity; clearly, legibly, and unambiguously displayed; presented using the same font size, type, and color. The law explicitly does not determine: which price should be the primary one; whether euro or lev should be shown first; whether prices should be displayed side by side or one below the other. In summary, the current legal framework does not impose a requirement as to which of the two currencies must be displayed first when showing dual prices. In practice, however, many online stores choose to make the euro price visually dominant, as payments are made in euro and this helps users orient themselves more easily. In this sense, merchants have flexibility in how prices are presented, provided the information is clear, balanced, and not misleading to consumers. 3. Visibility and Clarity for the User The most common issue during the transition to the euro is a lack of clarity regarding how prices are calculated. For this reason, online stores are required to ensure full visibility and consistency in how currencies are displayed. Clear communication reduces: suspicions of “hidden price increases”; abandoned checkouts; complaints and disputes; the workload on customer support teams. Dual price display must be fully consistent across all key stages of the purchasing process. On product and category pages, in the cart, and at checkout, users should see the same values presented in the same way, without discrepancies. The euro price should be the primary reference, while the lev value should be clearly marked as informative, including for the final amount payable. At checkout, it is particularly important to clearly indicate that payment is made in euro, in order to avoid discrepancies between the amount shown on the website and the amount displayed in the payment interface. It is important to note that implementing dual price display does not happen automatically and, in most cases, requires additional technical work. Changes to price visualization, the addition of a secondary currency, and the correct calculation and display of values across different areas of the website (product pages, cart, checkout, emails, invoices, user profiles, order history) require intervention by developers or the team maintaining the online store. The earlier these requirements are clearly defined, the smoother and less risky the transition will be. 4. Correct Application of the Exchange Rate Across All Systems Ensure that the entire platform calculates prices correctly across: custom CMS solutions; warehouse and ERP systems; vouchers, coupons, and discounts; promotional banners; invoices and receipts; order confirmation emails; upsell and cross-sell modules; terms and conditions and pricing tables; automated feeds and integrations. 5. Payment Systems and Transaction Currency After 1 January 2026 , popular online payment systems such as Stripe, PayPal, myPOS, Revolut, and others process online payments exclusively in euro . The final payable amount is displayed and processed in EUR, in accordance with the applicable legislation and the status of the euro as the official legal tender. In this context, online stores must ensure that their payment integrations are properly configured to operate in euro. If an online store is still processing payments in Bulgarian lev (BGN), this must be updated, as the lev is no longer a valid means of payment for online and cashless transactions after the introduction of the euro. How Payments Work After the Introduction of the Euro: Cash on Delivery and Online Card Payments After the introduction of the euro in 2026, the method of payment depends on whether the payment is made in cash (cash on delivery) or cashless (online card payment). These two cases follow different timelines and rules , which is particularly important for online stores offering courier delivery. How Do Online Card Payments Work After 1 January 2026? From 1 January 2026 , all online and cashless payments in Bulgaria are made exclusively in euro. This includes: card payments in online stores; virtual POS transactions; payments via PayPal, Stripe, myPOS, and similar systems; bank transfers. After this date, online payments in Bulgarian lev are no longer possible. Even if prices on the website are displayed in lev (due to dual price display requirements), the final payable amount is always in euro. Example of an online card payment: Product price: 50.00 EUR (97.79 BGN) The customer selects “Pay by card” The payment is processed exclusively in euro If the customer’s account is in lev, the bank automatically performs the conversion For the online store, this means: the checkout process operates in EUR; the payment system processes transactions in EUR; the payment confirmation is issued in EUR. How Does Cash on Delivery Work? For cash payments, there is a short transitional period, which also applies to cash on delivery through courier services. Period 1: from 1 January to 31 January 2026 payment can be made in both lev and euro; the cash-on-delivery amount is defined in euro; change may be given in either euro or lev. Period 2: from 1 February 2026 cash payments in lev are no longer possible; cash on delivery is accepted only in euro; couriers accept only euro; change is given exclusively in euro. Important Clarification: Dual Price Display ≠ Payment in Two Currencies This is one of the most common misunderstandings among customers. an online store may display prices in both lev and euro; however, once the euro becomes the sole official currency, payment is made only in euro; after that point, the lev serves an informational purpose only and is no longer a payment currency. For this reason, online stores should clearly inform customers of this distinction, especially during the checkout process. What Happens After the End of the Transitional Period? After the transitional period ends, as of 8 August 2026 , all online stores must display prices exclusively in euro . Displaying prices in lev will no longer be mandatory. This means: product prices, the cart, and all checkout logic must operate entirely in euro; visual support for two currencies is no longer required, although conversion data should be retained in the background for accounting and analytical purposes; merchants must verify that all integrations - feeds, applications, and external platforms - function fully in euro. After the dual price display period ends and prices are shown only in euro, additional technical changes will again be required. Removing the lev value from the website’s visual interface, updating pricing logic, adjusting checkout flows, feeds, integrations, and automated communications does not happen automatically. This is additional work that must be planned and implemented by developers or the maintenance team. What Happens If You Have Not Adapted Your Online Store? You may be subject to sanctions by the Consumer Protection Commission. You risk undermining customer trust if currencies are not clearly displayed. Your products may not be shown correctly in advertising platforms and marketplaces that require accurate euro pricing (Google Ads, Meta Ads, marketplaces). For this reason, it is essential that online store owners allocate sufficient technical time for adaptation and communicate their requirements to developers or maintenance providers well in advance. Changes requested at the last moment often cannot be implemented on time, creating a risk of non-compliance at critical deadlines. Timely planning is key to avoiding technical issues, penalties, and negative user experience. Best Practices After the Introduction of the Euro Demonstrate commitment to customers by clearly explaining the transition. Regularly check for: checkout discrepancies, incorrectly rounded amounts, issues with discount application, create a dedicated FAQ section addressing currency-related questions. For official and up-to-date information regarding the introduction of the euro, the dual price display period, and merchant obligations, please visit the official information portal: https://evroto.bg/bg Maintain Trust Through Accuracy and Transparency The transition to the euro in 2026 requires more than formal compliance with deadlines and regulations. It tests technical readiness, internal processes, and the way online stores communicate with customers. Early and well-planned adaptation not only helps avoid errors and penalties but also builds higher levels of trust through transparent pricing, correct payments, and a consistent user experience. Intelligent Web Solutions supports online merchants throughout this process with a comprehensive approach—from technical preparation of the website and payment systems to UX, content, and full compliance with euro-related requirements. If you are developing a new store or managing an existing one, now is the time to plan these changes and communicate them in advance. This ensures a smooth transition, technical stability, and full compliance. Contact us and prepare your online store for the euro in a structured, secure, and professional way.

Social media only is not enough: How a website can take your business to the next level

Many entrepreneurs take their first steps into the digital space with a Facebook page, an Instagram profile, or a TikTok account. While this feels like a quick and free solution, social media alone won’t carry your business in the long run. Algorithms reduce your reach, competition is overwhelming, and customers expect a professional online presence. That’s why web development is the next essential step toward growth. Why Social Media Alone Is Not Enough Limited Control Over Your Business Relying entirely on social platforms means you’re at the mercy of their rules. A single algorithm update can slash your organic reach by more than 60%. According to Ahrefs (2024), the average organic reach on Facebook has dropped below 5%. That means out of 10,000 followers, fewer than 500 actually see your posts. Uncertainty and Dependence You don’t truly own your social media content. Accounts can be blocked, deleted, or suspended overnight—sometimes due to a competitor’s report. Years of effort can disappear in seconds, leaving your brand vulnerable. Lack of Customer Trust A Facebook or Instagram page is a good start, but most customers expect to find a professional website before trusting a brand. Google doesn’t index your posts, so people searching for your services online may never even discover you. Limited Sales Opportunities Social platforms aren’t built for seamless sales. Orders, payments, and automation are clunky or missing altogether. An online store, on the other hand, provides customers with a smooth experience—browse, add to cart, checkout, and track delivery—without endless back-and-forth in chat. Social media is a powerful marketing tool, but it should never be your only one. Without a website, you miss out on control, credibility, and automation—all critical for long-term growth. The Advantages of Having a Website 1. 24/7 Availability and Google Visibility Your website works for you around the clock. Customers can explore your products and services at any time. With the right SEO strategy, your website ranks in Google and other search engines, bringing you targeted, organic traffic. 2. Better Organization and Management A professional website or online shop lets you structure content clearly and manage processes efficiently. Orders, leads, and inquiries are centralized in one system, saving you time and chaos. Real-time analytics help you track revenue, top-selling products, and customer behavior. 3. Professional Image and Credibility According to Zippia, 75% of consumers trust businesses with a website more than those without. A professional site signals reliability, quality, and long-term vision. 4. Saving Time and Reducing Costs Instead of answering endless social media messages, your website provides ready answers through FAQs, product descriptions, and automated systems. This saves you time and money while improving the customer experience. Social Media + Website = A Winning Combination No one is suggesting you abandon social media. Platforms like Facebook and Instagram are perfect for advertising and community building. But when you funnel that traffic to your website, likes turn into sales. Think of social media as your shop window and your website as the actual store. How Much Does a Website Cost? Many entrepreneurs worry about the cost of building a website , seeing it as an unnecessary luxury. In reality, the investment depends on your business goals - whether you need a simple website, a full e-commerce store, or a corporate site with advanced integrations. More importantly, a website should be seen as a strategic investment, not a one-time expense. It pays back through new clients, better visibility, and increased trust. According to Ahrefs (2024), 68% of online experiences start with a Google search. Without a website, you miss out on more than half of your potential customers. Why Choose Intelligent Web Solutions? An Expert Team with Proven Experience With over 15 years in the industry, IWS knows how to turn ideas into profitable digital projects. We tailor every solution to your business needs. Free Consultation and Easy Communication We start with a free consultation to analyze your business and recommend the best solution. Ongoing Support After Launch Building a website is just the beginning. Intelligent Web Solutions provides full SEO optimization, technical support, and training to ensure your business grows sustainably. Don’t Leave Your Business in the Hands of Algorithms Having a Facebook or Instagram page is a good start, but real growth begins when your business is built on a stable foundation. A website is not just a digital showcase—it’s your central hub for building trust, managing sales, and growing your brand independently of algorithms and trends. 👉 Ready to take your business to the next level? Contact Intelligent Web Solutions today for your free consultation . Let’s create a custom plan that brings you more visibility, more clients, and long-term success.
